Production Log Week 9: Voxpops (Refilmed)

Vox-pops

This week I spent my time asking teenagers aged 16-18 what their opinion is on illegal music downloading. I decided to film in Romford South Street because this was a really busy place where I was sure to find teenagers of all genders and ethnicity's. At first I found it hard to find a place where it looked suitable to film and place where I wouldn't get in anyone way. I also found it hard to ask random people to give their opinion on illegal music downloading as a majority of them were either too busy or did not want to appear on camera.

I ended up getting 9 vox-pops all together. This boosted my confidence as I managed to use someone that gained a lot of attention toward the area I was filming in. The fact that I managed to gather contributors that were of both genders and ethnicity's made my documentary a lot more balanced and made this documentary aimed towards everyone and not just one specific target audience. All of the teenagers that contributed gave qualitative and quantitative answers that would give my audience that I am trying to educate a better understanding of how a group of 16-18 year olds truthfully feel about illegal music downloading
