Production Log Week 12: Graphics

Graphics

2 out of 8 scenes were graphics in my documentary so I spent most of this week constructing my graphics in iMovie. The first graphical features were to do with the history of illegal music downloading. I managed to run a voiceover over this scene By gathering together images such as download software, facts and figures and logos.

The second graphical scene featured a quiz. To entertain my audience I made a scene using Microsoft PowerPoint and designed graphics that were exactly the same to "Who wants to be a millionaire". I made up an interactive quiz that asked the audience questions about certain facts and figures to do with illegal music downloading. I also ran a voiceover on this scene as I could ask the audience the questions with the graphics responding to my answers. Arranging the graphics were really difficult, when I tried to move them in certain locations of my documentary, they all ended up in different places.

I also used some graphics in the cutaways that I edited in the last scene. This included changing the colour of the interviews to black and white to make them look more effective, speeding them up and running a voiceover to make it sound as though I was summarizing my documentary.
